Large vintage orange desk sorter (or vinyl record holder?)

This orange sorter worthy of a post office or administration from the 70s is in good condition for its age.
 It can resume its original function or can be transformed as you wish, for example into a vinyl record rack (see photos).
 It is sized to accommodate A4 or slightly larger folders/files.
 It has 14 floors, making it a kind of office skyscraper.
 Traces related to use, without gravity, and on one side some light old traces of tape (but why this habit of sticking tape on plastic objects?)
 Dimensions: height 47 cm, length 37 cm, depth 24 cm.
